34-year-old "Krasnodar" defender Sergey Petrov stated in an interview with media representatives that he wishes to be called up to the Russia national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, every football player dreams of playing for the national team. At the same time, Petrov considers it logical to trust the younger generation, taking into account his age.

He mentioned that being 34 years old now, it is a right decision to involve young players in the team. Petrov last played for the national team in 2019 and has participated in a total of five matches.
