Former head coach of Tula "Arsenal" Sergey Kiryakov expressed his views on the situation of coaches in the Russian Premier League in an interview with the online publication "Evro-Futbol.Ru". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, it is somewhat amusing that clubs relegating from the Premier League remain with the same coaches. Kiryakov cited the example of "Orenburg," emphasizing that this situation is unique in Russia.
He stated that the coach managed the team well, but assessed the team's relegation as incomprehensible. According to the results of the last season, the "Orenburg" team, led by Vladimir Slishkovich, finished in 15th place, relegating from the Premier League to the First League.
At the same time, Voronezh's "Fakel" team also dropped to a lower division. This situation once again highlighted the balance issues between coaches and teams in Russian football.
Extensive discussions continue regarding the difference between the effectiveness of coaches and team results.
