Former head coach of "Rostov" Sergey Balakhin stated in an interview with the online publication "Euro-Football.Ru" which positions of the "Spartak" team need strengthening. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his opinion, there should be diversity in the team composition. Currently, "Spartak" has a small and quick forward Ugalde, but there is no tall forward.

For this reason, the team is facing difficulties in applying pressure and other tactical aspects. As Balakhin emphasized, "Spartak" needs not only defenders but also central midfielders and wing-backs.

In the summer transfer window, 34-year-old forward Anton Zabolotniy joined Moscow "Spartak" as a free agent. The 2025/26 season will begin on July 19 with a match against Makhachkala "Dinamo" in the first round of the Russian Premier League.

This game will be the first match of the new season for the "red-whites." The head coach of the team plans to invest additional resources to improve his squad.
