According to Bild, in June, 67-year-old Rangnick underwent planned surgery on his ankle. After the operation, the injury became inflamed and an infection developed.
As a result, Rangnick was hospitalized again and underwent surgery for the second time. The second intervention was successful, and the specialist is currently in the recovery process.
In 2021, Ralf Rangnick worked in a managerial position at Moscow's Lokomotiv football club, but this period was short-lived. He is currently serving as the head coach of the Austrian national team.
