The head coach of Madrid's "Real" team, Xabi Alonso, once again explained the decision not to field wing defender Rodrigo. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On Wednesday, the "Real" team lost 0:4 to "PSG" in the semi-finals of the World Club Championship. In this match, Rodrigo did not come off the bench and remained on the substitute bench throughout the game.
In a comment given through journalist Fabrizio Romano, Xabi Alonso stated that the decision not to field Rodrigo was related to technical reasons. According to him, the team preferred to show trust in other players, and this decision is not related to Rodrigo's future.
As previously reported, the 24-year-old Brazilian player may leave "Real" this summer. Clubs such as "Arsenal," "PSG," and "Bayern" have shown interest in his services.
Therefore, the future plans between the team and the player are still unclear.
