Portuguese specialist Jorge Jesus has been appointed as the head coach of Saudi Arabia's 'Al-Nasr' club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club's official website announced this. A one-season contract has been signed with the coach.
Information about Jesus's appointment to the new position was known a month ago. It is noted that his candidacy was supported by the club's striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jesus replaces Italian Stefano Pioli in this position. The 70-year-old coach had worked at 'Al-Hilal' until May, where he won the championship in 2024.
Additionally, Jesus has also worked at 'Benfica', 'Fenerbahce', and 'Flamengo'. Last season, 'Al-Nasr' finished third in the Saudi championship, while the first two places were taken by 'Al-Hilal' and 'Al-Ittihad'.
The new head coach aims to lead the team to even higher achievements.
