iOS 18.4 beta improved the CarPlay interface

Apple significantly updated the CarPlay system by adding a third row of icons for large screens in the iOS 18.4 beta version. This change aims to make the interface more convenient and modern on car screens.

In previous versions, CarPlay used only two rows of icons for all screen sizes, which did not fully match in some cars. The new design reduces the size of the icons to fit screens of 11 inches and larger, making the interface more compact.

This update will be available to all CarPlay users with the official release of iOS 18.4.

At the same time, the public is awaiting Apple's announcement of the next-generation CarPlay system. Initially, the company stated that the CarPlay 2.0 version would be presented at the end of 2024, but there is currently no official information. The new version is expected to integrate with the car's climate control, parking camera, and other systems.
