Based on a government decision, the regulation "On the procedure for admission to bachelor's degree programs in higher education institutions" has been officially approved. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This new document clearly defines how the admission process for applicants will take place, as well as the form and procedure of the exams. According to the regulation, admission to higher education institutions is carried out on several grounds.
Firstly, admission is conducted based on state grants and educational grants for bachelor's degree programs determined by the President. Additionally, the general admission parameters approved by the state commission organizing the admission process to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan are also taken into account.
The entrance exams consist of two main sections. The first section includes test exams in compulsory subjects for all programs.
These subjects are the native language, mathematics, and the history of Uzbekistan. In the second section, tests or professional and creative exams are organized in subjects related to the applicant's chosen field.
Thus, the applicant's level of knowledge and readiness in the chosen field are assessed. The admission process is carried out in two stages.
The first stage lasts from June 5 to June 25. During this period, applicants select the subjects for the exams, the language of instruction, and the region where the tests will be conducted.
The second stage lasts 15 days after the tests are completed. During this stage, applicants choose the higher education institution, bachelor's degree program, form of education, and priority of selection.
The exam results are also announced step by step. The scores obtained by the applicant are announced the day after the test is conducted.
Whether the applicant is recommended for admission or not is announced to the public within one week after the second stage ends through the official website of the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills. The new admission regulation aims to establish clear and transparent rules for applicants and to create opportunities based on each individual's abilities and preparedness.
This is considered the next important step in the reforms of the higher education system (source: zamin.uz).
