Why are vegetable prices rising in Uzbekistan?
It has been reported by Nova24 that vegetable prices in Uzbekistan have significantly increased.

Since the beginning of 2025, the price of last year's harvest has risen to 4,000 soums/kg, which is almost double compared to the same period in 2024. The main reason for this is that many farmers did not store their products due to low vegetable prices in the autumn of 2024, resulting in rapid depletion of reserves.

At the same time, new harvest vegetables have entered the market, and their initial price has reached up to 11,000 soums/kg. This figure is also considerably higher compared to 2024 and 2023.

Officials emphasize that the uncertainty of vegetable prices in spring is a common situation for Uzbekistan. In the last five years, only in the spring of 2024 have prices remained consistently low.
