Mirziyoyev and Putin held a strategic dialogue in Minsk
One of the important meetings that took place during the Eurasian Economic Union summit in Minsk was between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. This was officially reported by the presidential press service.

During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between the two countries, future directions, and mutually beneficial projects were discussed. It was emphasized that the negotiations were held in a sincere and businesslike atmosphere.

Uzbekistan – an observer, but an active participant

It is known that Uzbekistan is not yet a full member of the EEU, but as an observer state, it has been actively participating in the processes within the union. On June 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also participated as the leader of an observer state in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in Minsk.

In his speech, the President noted that expanding economic ties with Eurasian countries, fully utilizing existing potential, and implementing joint initiatives in trade, investment, logistics, and agriculture are of strategic importance for Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev – a proponent of a practical approach

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that it is important to focus not only on political statements but also on specific economic mechanisms, practical results, and programs that benefit both sides. According to him, agreements and practical cooperation projects established with EEU member countries serve to strengthen Uzbekistan's foreign economic policy.

Conversation with Putin – the foundation of multilateral relations

During the meeting with Putin, issues such as further activating bilateral relations, implementing new investment projects, and expanding cooperation in transport and energy sectors were discussed. It was also mentioned that there would be an exchange of views on regional stability and security issues.

This meeting was a continuation of regular communication and reliable relations between the leaders of the two countries, reaffirming the strong foundation of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia.
