Russian espionage is increasing security in Germany
In Germany, serious problems have arisen in the field of intelligence and security over the past year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to Martina Rozenberg, head of the military counterintelligence service MAD, espionage and sabotage activities by Russian intelligence services have significantly increased. This situation is causing concern not only for official Berlin but also for the entire European security system.

As Rozenberg emphasized, new and aggressive methods are being widely used by Russia in espionage and hybrid measures. They are combining classic methods known from the Cold War with the latest technologies to enhance their activities.

This process is manifested in areas such as espionage against Germany's military facilities, infrastructure, and supply lines, spreading disinformation, organizing cyberattacks, conducting electronic warfare, and using drones for reconnaissance. The head of counterintelligence also reported that the number of such activities has doubled compared to last year.

Russian agents often enter Germany through third countries. They are trying to establish new reliable connections and gather information through citizens of Russian descent, ethnic German repatriates, or individuals connected to Russia.

One important aspect is the increase in attempts by Russia to influence individuals with dual citizenship or German military personnel. In particular, cases of pressure and coercion to cooperate are rising when they travel to Russia or its allied countries.

This is being assessed as a new threat to Germany's security. Experts believe that such hybrid actions and espionage attempts will deal a serious blow to the European security system.

The German counterintelligence service calls on citizens and military personnel to exercise caution, strictly adhere to security protocols, and protect themselves from such threats. In conclusion, the security situation in Germany has become more complicated due to Russian espionage activities and hybrid attacks.

This is creating new challenges and tests for the country in both domestic and foreign policy.
