The phone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin has concluded. The conversation lasted for more than two hours. This was reported by NBC News, citing a White House spokesperson.
The discussion between Trump and Putin took place against the backdrop of efforts to reach an agreement on a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. The U.S. leader's special envoy Steven Witkoff also reported that a phone conversation between Trump and Putin would take place. "I think there will be a really good and positive discussion between the two presidents this week," he said.
