Some residential buildings have been destroyed, forcing hundreds of people to leave their homes. The government declared a state of emergency, temporarily closed schools, and suspended the operations of government offices.
Rescuers are currently continuing search operations for the missing. Due to bad weather conditions, search efforts in some areas are being conducted only with the help of helicopters.
