An astonishing tragedy occurred in South Carolina
An astonishing tragedy occurred in South Carolina when 52-year-old Erik Sleet was killed after a confrontation with a kangaroo. This was reported by The Guardian.

The incident took place at a children's zoo. Local investigators stated that during the incident, Erik Sleet entered the kangaroo's area and engaged in a physical altercation with the animal. According to officials, the man was taken to the hospital with various injuries, but he could not fight for his life and passed away on Friday night.

Tamara Uillard, who is conducting the investigation, reported that multiple injuries inflicted by force were found on the deceased's body. Currently, special inspections are planned to be conducted at the zoo.

According to reports, Erik Sleet was the brother of the zoo's owner, Robert Sleet, and he frequently entered the enclosure where the kangaroo and wallabies were kept, known for joking around with a kangaroo named "Jack."

On May 12, Robert Sleet posted pictures of his brother on his Facebook page, writing, "You will always be in our memories, we will not forget your voice. Jack will be fine with you, my friend."

Zoo staff have stated that the kangaroo has not left its spot and is being kept under special supervision. However, the tragedy highlights the need to pay attention to the boundaries and safety measures between animals and humans once again.
