The number of people missing after the landslide in Venezuela has risen

In June, the number of people killed in a powerful earthquake in Venezuela increased significantly, according to Earth.uz.
According to the latest official data, the number of victims of the natural disaster has reached 4,118 people, as reported by international news agencies citing information from Jorge Rodriges, President of the Venezuelan National Assembly.
National authorities continue efforts to monitor the situation and identify the affected. It has been reported that 16,740 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the catastrophe.
Additionally, 17,907 citizens have been displaced from their homes and are currently homeless. The strong seismic activity destroyed 17, across the country, while another 856 structures sustained serious damage and are now in unsafe 190 buildings nationwide, while 856 others suffered serious damage and are now in hazardous condition for habitation.
Experts are currently studying the possibilities for rebuilding these structures. During extensive search and rescue operations carried out by emergency teams, 6,462 people were pulled alive from the rubble.
To provide urgent medical assistance to those affected by the disaster, all hospitals and specialized medical facilities have been put on alert. So far, 29,966 patients have received the necessary treatment. State authorities are taking measures to ensure that the affected are supplied with medicines and essential medical equipment.
According to reports presented by the government, as of now, social assistance of various kinds has been provided to 86,794 families by state and special services. Furthermore, 9,766 tons of food products and essential supplies have been delivered to the population of the affected areas.
The distribution of humanitarian aid is being carried out in an organized manner with the help of local government authorities and volunteers.
We remind you that the powerful earthquake in Venezuela occurred in the evening of June 24.
During the quake, which lasted about 40 seconds, two powerful shocks with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 were recorded. The epicenters of the earthquake were located in the Yaracuy state region, approximately 10 kilometers apart from each other.
This natural disaster has been recorded as one of the most severe in the country's modern history.
