
Russian footballer Oleg Shatov, who was the head coach of the "Ural" team for a while, shared his experience regarding his coaching activities. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that he felt a sense of responsibility for his hometown and the team he grew up with. Shatov stated that he has no experience working as a head coach and evaluates this period only positively.
The coach also mentioned that he takes full responsibility for not being able to fulfill the main goal of the "Ural" team – to qualify for the Russian Premier League. Oleg Shatov managed "Ural" during the 2024-2025 season.
In the PARI League competition, the Yekaterinburg team secured fourth place. In the playoff matches held to promote to the top division, "Ural" missed the opportunity against "Akhmat" with an aggregate score of 2:3.
Shatov's coaching activity was an important period for the team, and he emphasized that he felt great responsibility in fulfilling his duties. He expressed his intention to strive for even greater success in the future based on his experience.
