Valeriy Filatov, a member of the "Lokomotiv" management board, commented on the situation regarding Sergey Pinyayev's potential move to CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the striker did not see serious reasons to change clubs, although there was active interest from the "army men." As previously reported, CSKA was ready to pay the buyout clause of 900 million rubles specified in Pinyayev's contract.
However, the player declined the transfer. As Filatov noted, currently, "Lokomotiv" and CSKA teams are almost at the same level.
In his opinion, the only reason for Pinyayev's transfer could be financial. Sergey Pinyayev has been playing for "Lokomotiv" since January 2023.
Last season, he played in 38 matches across all tournaments, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists. These statistics demonstrate how beneficial he is to the team.
Moreover, the equality between the teams complicates the player's decision. Currently, Pinyayev's chances of changing clubs are assessed as low.
