Sheliya: We are ready for the defeats at the beginning of the season

The goalkeeper of the "Akhmat" team, Giorgi Sheliya, shared his thoughts on the reasons for the defeat in the match against CSKA in an exclusive interview with the publication "Evro-Futbol.ru". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, although we opened the scoring first, there was no opportunity to gain points. After conceding the first goal, we needed to simplify the game and finish the first half with a score of 1:1.

Then the second half would have gone better. After conceding the second goal, the game became psychologically difficult.

Sheliya mentioned that the team might have lost focus or gotten tired during the short interval in which these two goals were conceded, but the final opinion on this matter will be given by the coach. Regarding the pressure from the team's results at the beginning of the season, the goalkeeper emphasized that they are psychologically prepared for this situation, learning from previous experiences and trying to solve the problem.

There is a cup match against "Zenit" ahead. Sheliya stated that there is always a chance for victory and that they need to be prepared to win in any situation.

He noted that they played well in the first half, managed the score, but there were mistakes in concentrating. During the pre-season preparation process, there were serious changes in the team.

The new players are good, working on themselves, but he added that every player needs time. Overall, Sheliya assessed the current state of the team and expressed hope for the future.
