Rapoport: There were more opportunities for victory at Zenit

In the third round match between Zenit and CSKA, Zenit created more attacking situations and should have won. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Former head coach of the St. Petersburg team, Boris Rapoport, shared his thoughts on this. According to him, Zenit had sufficient opportunities in attack, but they were unable to fully capitalize on them.

Rapoport stated that after the substitutions made by Semak, Zenit's pressure intensified. He believed that Zenit would win at the end of the match.

In the expert's opinion, the Petersburg team lost two points in this match. The CSKA representatives noted that they lost points as well, but Rapoport emphasized that Zenit had more chances to win.

Although Zenit started slowly in the initial minutes of the match, they still managed to create dangerous situations against the opponent's goal. The game ended with a score of 1:1.

CSKA player Alerandro scored his first goal for the guests. Zenit equalized with a penalty scored by Aleksandr Sobolev at the end of the match.

Thus, both teams took one point.
