Football expert Evgeniy Lovchev, who previously played for the Soviet Union national team and Moscow's Spartak club, shared his thoughts on Stanislav Cherchesov's appointment as head coach of the "Akhmat" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Stanislav Cherchesov signed a three-year contract with the team from Grozny, replacing Aleksandr Storozhuk. According to Evgeniy Lovchev, Cherchesov is a coach with extensive experience.
He believes that any coach can achieve special results only when they have famous and leading players. Therefore, he considers Cherchesov a significant specialist, but noted that good players are also needed to be the best coach.
Currently, "Akhmat" is in thirteenth place in the Russian championship standings. The team has lost all of its last three matches.
For this reason, the new head coach has been tasked with improving the team's results. The club's management and fans expect good results from Cherchesov.
