41-year-old Sulaymon Al-Obeyd was killed during the latest airstrike on the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He was informally known as the "Palestinian Pele." The incident occurred while Sulaymon Al-Obeyd was distributing humanitarian aid to the population.

It is known that the Gaza Strip has been facing intense military attacks from Israel since October 2023. Sulaymon is survived by his wife and five children.

Throughout his career, Sulaymon Al-Obeyd was named the top scorer of the Palestinian championship several times. He scored one of the most beautiful goals in the history of the national team during a match against the Yemen national team in 2010.
