The Swedish striker reportedly wants to move to Liverpool and is said to not want to play for his current team, Newcastle. On August 16, Howe's team will take the field against Aston Villa in the first round match of the Premier League.
Head coach Eddie Howe stated: "I wanted Isak to play in today's friendly match against Espanyol. I hope he will train with us tomorrow as well.
To be honest, we really want Isak to be part of our team. But for now, I don't see any changes in this situation before the game against Aston Villa," said Eddie Howe in an interview with journalists.
It has been reported that Liverpool is preparing a new offer to Newcastle to acquire Alexander Isak. Therefore, no clear decision has been made regarding the player's future yet.
