The head coach of Moscow's Torpedo football club, Oleg Kononov, commented on the recent results of his team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, many are currently trying to find someone to blame, which results in a lot of negative opinions. Kononov stated that they strive to maintain a positive attitude in any situation and believe that everything will be fine in the future for the team.
For information, Torpedo players were supposed to start the new season in the Russian Premier League. However, due to controversies involving referees, the club was relegated one tier down to the lower league.
Currently, after four rounds held in the PARI league, the Torpedo team is at the bottom of the competition table, in 16th place. They have only one point to their name.
On Monday evening, Torpedo lost narrowly at home to Spartak from Kostroma. After the match, the club's fans demanded the resignation of head coach Oleg Kononov.
The club management is studying the situation, and no information has been provided regarding further decisions.
