
Former “Zenit” football player Igor Semshov expressed his opinion about the possibility of the team's head coach Sergey Semak leaving his position. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Sergey Semak will continue his work until the end of the year. Semshov emphasized that there is currently no crisis at “Zenit,” only a need to stabilize the squad a bit.
He stated that in the current situation of the team, the coach is not to blame. Semshov also noted that Semak's future is not dependent on the outcome of the match against “Spartak” in the fifth round.
According to him, the club management has expressed confidence in the coach, and the team will continue the season under his leadership. Currently, the “Zenit” team is in eighth place in the Russian championship standings.
