Manchester City has identified its new number ten. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This honorary number was left vacant after Jack Grealish departed the team. Grealish was loaned to Everton during the pre-season period.
According to the club's press service, Ryan Cherki will take the field under this number in the new season. The twenty-one-year-old French player joined Manchester City in June of this year.
He previously played for Lyon. The club paid 36.5 million euros for his transfer.
Ryan Cherki participated in four matches in the Club World Cup under the leadership of Josep Guardiola. He scored one goal and provided one assist in these matches.
Manchester City will play its first match of the new season on August 16 against Wolverhampton away. This match will take place as part of the first round of the 2025/2026 season of the English Premier League.
