Viktor Onopko, head coach of the "Rostov" team, identified the main reason for the defeats in the 2025/2026 season as a loss of focus. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
After four rounds, Rostov is in 13th place in the tournament table with three points. According to the coach, in all theoretical training sessions and meetings, Alba consistently emphasizes the main task of maintaining focus and keeping it until the last minute.
Onopko believes that it was precisely the weakening of focus that prevented "Rostov" from earning points in matches against "Zenit" in Saint Petersburg and "Dinamo" in Moscow. Additionally, on August 14, "Rostov" lost at home to "Pari NN" in the RPL path of the Russian Cup.
It is worth noting that "Rostov" has so far secured its only victory in the Russian championship against "Pari NN". According to the team coach, the team needs to fully concentrate and demonstrate its capabilities in every game.
