The London club "Arsenal" has withdrawn from the fight for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sheshko. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The "Gunners" have now decided to focus on Viktor Dyokeresh from Lisbon's "Sporting" club. An agreement has already been reached with the Swedish player.
According to journalist Miguel Delaney, "Arsenal" has stopped its interest in Sheshko due to dissatisfaction with RB Leipzig. Although there are good relations between the clubs, the Leipzig management's insistence on a price exceeding 90 million euros during negotiations led to the London team's discontent.
Benjamin Sheshko could have joined "Arsenal" a year ago, but he preferred to stay at Leipzig for another season for his development. The "Gunners" management did not expect the German club to significantly raise the striker's price, especially considering the team's absence from European competitions.
For this reason, "Arsenal" has abandoned the Sheshko transfer and is looking at other options.
