
The Russian Football Union's special commission unanimously reviewed the case regarding the bribery of first league referees related to the Moscow "Torpedo" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The decision is scheduled to be announced on July 9, but a separate meeting on this matter may be postponed to July 10. By that day, the results of certain expert examinations are expected to be known.
According to reports, commission members confirmed that the "Torpedo" team violated competition rules. Several penalties may be imposed on the team: a fine of 50 million rubles, a deduction of 15 points, or disqualification from the competition.
Additionally, a criminal case has been opened against the "Torpedo" leaders, and currently, the team owner and director are being held in custody. This situation warns that it may seriously affect the team's future and participation in the competition.
The commission's final decision will be officially announced in the coming days.
