The team will play its first match away on July 20. Their opponent will be the Ahmat team from Grozny.
In response to a question from the Tatar-inform publication about whether the team can secure a higher position in the Russian championship that started on July 18 compared to the last season, Teslenko replied: “We want to achieve the highest positions possible and will strive to do so.” Last season, under the guidance of coach Rashid Rahimov, the Rubin team finished seventh in the championship table.
In the new season, the team aims to improve its performance. All players and coaches are preparing seriously for this.
Strengthening their position as a competitive team is one of the main goals of the team during the season.
