Modern medicine has once again successfully passed the test of robotics. One of the world's leading medical technology companies, Medtronic, has tested its advanced robotic-assisted system — Hugo RAS in surgical procedures related to the prostate, kidneys, and bladder.
Great experiment: 137 real operations
The Hugo robotic surgeon participated in 137 operations. This highly precise robotic system significantly eased the surgical process for doctors, ensuring excellent results. Most notably, 98.5 percent of the operations were successfully completed. Only in 2 cases was there a need for actual physician intervention.
A new era: robots as not just assistants, but leaders
According to Medtronic, the Hugo system provides benefits on par with human surgeons not only in terms of precision but also in safety, optimal time efficiency, and rapid recovery. Such results could usher in a new phase not only in the medical field but in the lives of all humanity.
If technology and medicine continue to develop hand in hand, the quality of human life will improve significantly. Robots like Hugo RAS are likely to become the most reliable "colleagues" in the operating room in the near future. The question remains: do you trust a robotic surgeon?
