A new system has been introduced to prevent offenses in areas with high crime rates in Tashkent and Fergana regions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the new order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, former internal affairs employees with many years of practical experience in the field of prevention, namely retirees, will work in this direction on a contractual basis. This initiative has been developed based on the law "On Internal Affairs Bodies" and the decision of the head of state regarding working with employees and improving service quality.
The goal is to prevent crimes in areas where crime is prevalent and to strengthen the fight against offenses by effectively utilizing the potential of experienced personnel. Retirees will be employed only voluntarily and through an open competition.
There are no restrictions or discrimination based on gender, age, social status, or nationality in the competition. The main requirements are having worked in internal affairs bodies for at least five years, positive recommendations regarding work performance, suitability of health condition, and no criminal record.
Internal affairs bodies analyze the crime situation annually and update the list of problematic areas. During the selection process, candidates are evaluated based on an interview using a five-point system.
If the scores are tied, the final decision is made by the commission chairman. Contracts are signed with the winners of the competition, and they receive a monthly salary equal to their pensions.
These funds are financed by the fund for the development of the crime prevention system. After the introduction of the new system, the knowledge and skills of experienced retirees in the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be effectively applied in problematic areas.
This will strengthen cooperation between the public and law enforcement agencies and serve to ensure security. Thus, a new phase in crime prevention begins, creating additional opportunities for social protection and security for the population (source: norma.uz).
