
The new poetry collection of Shuhrat Orif, a poet recognized as one of the exquisite examples of Uzbek literature, was warmly received in Turkey. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of an international conference held in the city of Konya, his work titled “Mavi erk” was presented. This collection includes poems written by the poet over various years and was translated into Turkish by the renowned Turkologist scholar Mukhittin Gumush.
The work was published by Edebiyat Ortamı Yayınları publishing house located in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The presentation ceremony was organized within the framework of the “Mawlana Spiritual Heritage: 14th International Poetry Conference,” which was attended by literary communities from Uzbekistan and Turkey.
It was emphasized that the poet’s works have been translated not only into Turkish but also into English, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, and Uyghur languages. Shuhrat Orif is also recognized for his international cultural activity.
He has been awarded medals by the International Organization of Turkic Culture — TURKSOY and is currently a member of the TURKSOY Writers’ Union. These awards have further enhanced his literary skill and creative significance.
