Foreign language teachers will remain employed until 2025
On September 15 of this year, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education adopted a special order establishing new privileges for foreign language teachers working in general secondary education institutions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to this order, teachers who do not have at least a B2 level certificate are allowed to continue their work until the end of 2025. This decision was made to ensure that teachers are not dismissed and to maintain the continuity of the educational process.

The order emphasizes that all foreign language teachers working in general secondary schools, even those who do not meet the certificate requirement, will have the right to continue their work until the end of 2025. Additionally, teachers whose certificates are expiring may continue their activities until the end of the academic year.

Furthermore, third- and fourth-year students studying foreign language teaching specialties at higher education institutions will be involved in vacant positions, and a reserve of personnel will be formed from them. The ministry has stipulated that by December 1, additional training sessions will be organized with the participation of qualified specialists to prepare for national and international certificate exams.

These measures are aimed at improving the qualifications of uncertified teachers and ensuring their effective performance in the educational process. It is worth noting that previously, the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan had proposed to the ministry not to dismiss teachers without international language certificates.

This new regulation is an important privilege for educators, protecting their labor rights and ensuring the continuity of education quality in schools. Source: zamin.uz
