The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has introduced a new initiative aimed at increasing the education level of young people and developing their knowledge potential. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Resolution No. 632 adopted on October 8, 2025, special subsidies will be allocated for young people who want to learn foreign languages. This decision will be implemented based on the “2+6” program.
Within the framework of the program, young people who obtain a certificate in a foreign language will cover the initial two months of education expenses at their own expense, while the education costs for the following six months will be financed by the Youth Affairs Agency fund. The amount of subsidies varies depending on the region.
In Tashkent city, this amount reaches up to twice the single turnover wage, that is, up to 824 thousand soums. In regional centers, it is 1.5 times, or 618 thousand soums.
In districts and towns, the maximum amount of the subsidy equals the single turnover wage, that is, 412 thousand soums. The program will cover up to 20 thousand young people in 2025–2026.
Additionally, it is planned to provide financial assistance annually to another 20 thousand young people for learning foreign languages until 2031. If the annual limit is reached, the scholarship will be transferred to the following year.
Subsidies are provided only to educational centers registered through the electronic system and where class attendance is electronically monitored. This ensures transparency of the educational process and helps control the targeted use of state funds.
This initiative aims to increase young people's interest in foreign languages, turn them into competitive specialists in modern market conditions, and expand opportunities for foreign education and employment. Source: zamin.uz.
