The preschool education system in Uzbekistan continues to develop. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, by the end of 2024, the total number of preschool education institutions in the country reached 38,058. This figure represents an increase of more than 2,000 compared to 2023.
This growth indicates the expanding system and the increasing attention to preschool education. The majority of kindergartens are family-based non-governmental institutions.
Their number has exceeded 28,700. In recent years, the development of the private sector and the simplification of licensing procedures have been important factors in achieving these successes.
This process serves to support entrepreneurship and improve the quality of education. By region, the highest number of kindergartens is located in Samarkand region (4,507), Andijan region (4,324), Kashkadarya region (4,216), and Fergana region (4,189).
Tashkent city (1,047) and Sirdaryo region (1,145) have the lowest number of kindergartens. According to experts, the increase in the number of kindergartens positively affects early childhood development and the quality of education.
At the same time, improving the qualifications of educators and monitoring the quality of education remain important tasks.
