Inflation increased by 0.6 percent in February, prices changed

According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, the inflation rate in February 2026 was 0.6 percent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the month, changes were observed in the prices of fruits and vegetables. For example, the price of tomatoes increased by 12.1 percent, which is 12.5 percent less compared to February 2025.
Although the price of squash rose by 11.7 percent, it is 57.1 percent cheaper compared to last year. The price of potatoes also increased by 5.0 percent, making it 2.0 percent higher than in February 2025.
Additionally, the prices of bell peppers increased by 4.2 percent, apples by 4.1 percent, lemons by 3.6 percent, and bananas by 3.0 percent. The prices of carrots and cabbage also rose by more than 1.8 percent.
Comparatively, apples are 12.4 percent higher, lemons 90.0 percent higher, bananas 2.4 percent higher, carrots 8.8 percent higher, and cabbage 10.6 percent higher than last year. However, the prices of some products decreased.
For instance, cucumbers became 13.8 percent cheaper. The prices of mandarins fell by 5.6 percent, oranges by 5.4 percent, and beets by 1.7 percent.
Onions also became 0.9 percent cheaper. In the annual comparison, cucumbers were 13.0 percent cheaper, mandarins 15.8 percent cheaper, oranges 6.8 percent cheaper, and beets 8.3 percent more expensive.
