A significant concept has been approved in Uzbekistan to enhance ecological culture among the population by 2030. According to the presidential decree, comprehensive measures will be implemented to fundamentally improve the attitude towards the environment and to develop ecological awareness.
The document envisions achieving the following results by 2030:
- Establishing the foundations of ecological culture among 3.3 million children in preschool educational institutions;
- Strengthening ecological knowledge and education among 4.2 million school students.
The concept will be implemented step by step through "roadmaps" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers every two years starting from 2027.
Additionally, free training courses will be organized for employees of state organizations to enhance their ecological literacy.
In this process, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change has been designated as the main coordinating body.
