The total number of teachers teaching in schools has been announced

According to the statistics agency, at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, the total number of teachers (excluding substitutes) teaching in general secondary education schools in Uzbekistan was 564,900.

This figure has increased by 78,300 compared to the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year.

Over the years, the number of teachers (excluding substitutes) teaching in general secondary education institutions was:

● 486,600 at the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year;
● 508,200 at the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year;
● 510,000 at the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year;
● 521,600 at the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year;
● 547,700 at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year;
● 564,900 at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year.
