A woman working in delivery service in Spain was dismissed for arriving at work earlier than scheduled. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The company considered this situation as an action against internal rules. The woman's employment contract strictly stipulated that working hours start at 07:30.
However, she regularly arrived between 06:45 and 07:00, starting her shift early. The company management explained several times that this habit could disrupt the balance of the work process and interfere with the shift schedule.
Despite an official warning given to the employee in 2023, she continued her behavior. As a result, the company decided to dismiss the woman due to non-compliance with discipline.
The company statement emphasized that the employee's early arrival did not positively affect the work process; on the contrary, it negatively impacted task distribution. The dissatisfied employee appealed to the Alicante social court.
However, the court supported the employer and noted that the employee continued her actions despite repeated warnings. Labor discipline and working hours are strictly controlled in Spain.
Therefore, even the seemingly positive act of “arriving early” can be considered a violation of discipline from a legal standpoint.
