A historic peace agreement signed in Syria
A historic agreement has been reached to establish peace in Syria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The ongoing armed clashes in the country are finally set to end. The interim president of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, and the leadership of the Kurds' "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) have signed a ceasefire agreement.

This agreement is regarded as an important step towards restoring the territorial integrity of the state. According to the SANA agency, all combat operations on all fronts will cease in accordance with the agreement.

According to the agreement, the administrative and military structures of the Kurds will be integrated into the Syrian state system. This represents a significant political loss for the Kurds.

Having long aspired to independent governance in their territories, the Kurds have now agreed to fully join the Syrian state. Prior to the signing of the agreement, Syrian government forces had achieved significant military victories.

The city of At-Tabqa, including a strategically important hydroelectric power station, came under government control. This area had been under Kurdish control for years and is considered an important source of electricity supply for the country.

The government promises to restart this power station and supply electricity to the local population. Additionally, in the battles around Aleppo, government forces took control of several areas, including 34 villages, and hundreds of Kurdish fighters surrendered.

Due to the negotiation process, Ahmad al-Sharaa canceled his planned trip to Germany. He was supposed to meet with the chancellor in Berlin to discuss post-war reconstruction in Syria and the return of refugees.

Ahmad al-Sharaa also draws attention with his complex past. Although he was previously active in radical groups, today he demonstrates his democratic views.

This agreement raises new hopes for ensuring long-term stability in Syria. Now the main question is how much the integration of the Kurds into the state army and the peace process will contribute to maintaining stability in the country?
