Former Moscow "Dynamo" defender Alexander Tochilin does not believe that the match against "Rostov" in the second round of the Russian championship will be important for head coach Valery Karpin. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Karpin worked at "Rostov" for several years but left the club in February 2025. In June 2025, he was appointed head coach of the "Dynamo" team.
According to Tochilin, the name of the opposing team is not important for Karpin; his main task is to achieve victory. "It doesn't matter who he plays against; the main focus is on winning.
Whether it’s "Rostov" or "Spartak" makes no difference to Karpin," Tochilin said in an interview with "Match TV." The match between "Dynamo" and "Rostov" will be Karpin's first game against his former team.
The match will take place on July 26 at "Dynamo's" home stadium and will start at 17:30 Moscow time.
