Pisarev emphasized the shortcomings in Spartak's defense

“Spartak” started the new season of the Russian Premier League with a 1:0 victory against the “Dinamo” team from Makhachkala. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The victory was secured thanks to a precise shot by Brazilian player Markinhos in the 38th minute. However, despite the team winning, experts raised several questions regarding the Moscow club's performance.

Nikolay Pisarev, the former head coach of the Russian youth national team, pointed out some problematic aspects of the team led by Dejan Stankovich. The specialist emphasized the need to strengthen the squad, especially the defense line, to achieve the club's high goals.

He noted the lack of stability and depth in defense. According to Pisarev, if “Spartak” wants to compete for the championship, new players need to be brought in.

He specifically mentioned the imbalance among the wing defenders and stated that it is not right for Litvinov to play in the center of defense. In the second round of the Russian Premier League, the capital club will face the “Baltika” team.

This match will take place on July 26.
