
Andrea Pirlo, who was a world champion with the Italian national team, has been appointed as the head coach of the United Arab Emirates' "Dubai United" football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the club's press service, the duration of the contract and other details with Pirlo have not yet been disclosed. Previously, former Moscow "Spartak" forward Quincy Promes played for this team.
Promes had remained in the UAE due to his involvement in a car accident. He was subsequently extradited to his home country, the Netherlands.
The court sentenced him to a total of 7.5 years of imprisonment. The new coach of the club, Andrea Pirlo, has extensive experience in football and is recognized as a specialist on a global scale.
