Kovtun positively assessed Jedson's transfer to Spartak

Portuguese midfielder Jedson Fernandes transferred from Istanbul's "Besiktas" to Moscow's "Spartak" club this summer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Regarding this transfer, Yuriy Kovtun, who previously played as a defender for "Spartak," shared his thoughts. According to Yuriy Kovtun, if Jedson Fernandes was purchased, it was based on the decision of the club's management and coaching staff.

Importantly, the player needs to strengthen the team's performance. Jedson Fernandes joined the "Spartak" team on Thursday, July 31.

The 26-year-old midfielder signed a long-term labor contract with the Moscow club. This agreement will be valid until the end of June 2029.

The transfer fee amounted to 20.8 million euros. As a result of this transfer, "Spartak" club has strengthened its squad with an experienced player.

The club's management and coaching staff expect Fernandes to enhance the team's performance. The new player is expected to bring benefits to "Spartak" with his experience and skills.
