Valeriy Ovchinnikov, the former coach of Nizhny Novgorod's "Lokomotiv" team, shared his thoughts on the arrival of Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov at the "Akhmat" club in Grozny. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Ovchinnikov, it will be relatively easier for Stanislav Cherchesov to work there since he is from the Caucasus. He believes that Cherchesov is capable of bringing "Akhmat" out of a difficult situation and can revitalize the team.
Ovchinnikov expressed his confidence in this regard. For reference, the "Akhmat" club officially announced Cherchesov's return on Wednesday morning.
At the beginning of the new season, the club suffered four consecutive official defeats. In these matches, the team scored two goals against their opponents while conceding seven goals into their own net.
At the start of the season, the team was managed by Aleksandr Storojuk. Stanislav Cherchesov also provided his initial comments as the new head coach.
The leadership and fans of "Akhmat" hope that the team's results will improve.
