Araz-Nakhchivan lost to Omaniya 0:4 at home

The Araz-Nakhchivan football team played one of their last matches in the European cups this season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The team suffered a heavy defeat at home against the Cypriot team Omonia. In the 13th minute of the match, Araz-Nakhchivan player Patrick Andrade made a mistake near his penalty area.

As a result, Omonia forward Villi Semedo took a shot from 19 meters towards the goal. The goalkeeper managed to save the ball, but Evandro Kosta could not direct it accurately.

Nevertheless, Omonia forward Loysos Loyzu sent the ball into the empty net, opening the scoring. In the 22nd minute, Semedo was active again, bringing the ball into the opponent's half.

He passed from the left flank, and Fotis Kitsos made an accurate long pass. Loyzu then left the goalkeeper behind from close range, increasing the score to 0:2.

At the beginning of the second half, Stevan Jovetic received the ball on the left flank and made a pass to the center. Evandro Kosta sent the ball into the net without any defenders around, making the score 0:3.

Shortly after, Omonia launched a quick attack, and Jovetic broke free behind the defenders, accurately sending the ball into the net again. As a result, the score became 0:4.

Loyzu was active again in front of the penalty area, making an accurate pass to the center. Evandro Kosta attempted to send the ball into the net, leaving the goalkeeper behind.

However, the opposing defender Kitsos blocked the shot. At the end of the match, Araz-Nakhchivan lost 0:4.

This result created a favorable opportunity for Omonia ahead of the return match in the third qualifying round of the Conference League. The match protocol is as follows: Araz-Nakhchivan – Omonia Nicosia 0:4.
