The Russian national team has announced that it will hold its next friendly match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In October, the team led by Valery Karpin will take the field against the Iranian national team. This match will be a home game for the Russian national team and is scheduled to take place in Volgograd on Friday, October 10.
The Iranian national team is currently ranked 20th in the FIFA rankings. Russia, on the other hand, is in 35th place in this ranking.
It is worth noting that in September, the Russian national team will play against the teams of Jordan and Qatar in BetBoom friendly matches. The first match will be at home for Russia, while the second will be an away game.
Due to the sanctions imposed by UEFA and FIFA, the Russian national team can currently only hold friendly matches. Therefore, the team is unable to participate in international official competitions.
Under the current circumstances, the national team is organizing only friendly matches with various countries around the world.
