Former Zenit striker Aleksey Gasilin shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between the St. Petersburg team and Akhmat. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, with the arrival of new head coach Stanislav Cherchesov, Akhmat will have a boost in morale and strong motivation. Both teams will give their maximum effort in the match, as Akhmat is currently facing issues as well.
Gasilin stated that this match will be very difficult for Zenit, but Sergey Bogdanovich Semak's pupils are considered the favorites in this contest. In his opinion, Zenit should win by at least a one-goal margin against Akhmat.
The expert also emphasized that this match will differ from the recent cup game. It should be noted that in that game, Zenit defeated Akhmat with a score of 2:1.
