Joau Neves, a Paris Saint-Germain player, will not be able to assist his team in the first two matches of the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This situation is related to an incident that occurred during the final match of the Club World Championship held in mid-last month against Chelsea. In that match, the Paris team lost 0:3.
According to RMC Sport, the Portuguese player was sent off for pulling the hair of defender Marc Cucurella. The referee showed Joau Neves a direct red card.
As a result, the player has been suspended for two matches. Consequently, Neves will not be able to take the field against Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup match on August 13.
Additionally, he will also miss the match against Nantes in the first round of the new season of the French championship. Thus, Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to utilize one of their key players in important matches.
