Jon Tekstor has left the management of the "Lion" club

American entrepreneur Jon Tekstor, who owns the management package of the 'Lion' football club, decided to step back from the daily management of the team due to the club's relegation to the second division of the French championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his statement, he mentioned that he would now focus his main attention on his other project – the 'Botafogo' club. According to Jon Tekstor, his partners have taken responsibility for resolving the issues that have arisen at the club. The interim management duties are planned to be carried out by former 'Bavaria' director Mikhail Gerlinger and entrepreneur Michelle Kan.

The new management team will also be engaged in preparing an appeal against the decision of the National Control and Management Directorate (DNCG) to relegate the club to the second division due to violations of financial regulations. It is worth noting that in March, 'Lion' reported a loss of 117 million euros in the first half of the financial year. The club's total debt, excluding transfer payments, amounts to approximately 445 million euros.

This situation indicates the complexity of the club's operations and necessitates serious changes in management. Jon Tekstor aims to create opportunities for the development of new strategies for the future of the team with this decision.
